Vigilant the Eye (See original)

1

Now that light breaks
I am translucent colour

Am sustained in sound
In dawn whiteness
The clear sky

Solitary a bird passes
Like a picture
My window frames

Through the glass a flower flowers
A bird finally perches
2

On the shores of the river
As though a bird of paradise

The rainbow
Over the mountain

Vigilant the eye
3

With purple wings
The flown bird
Anointed with the resin of the skies
Reminds us of the littleness of our acts

Lit flame
It prolongs the flight
And like a fugitive
Penetrates night
